The Port of Digby has plans to replace the aging infrastructure that supports fisheries landings in excess of $110M annually. An estimation of direct economic activity calculates the full extent of this sector at $175M annually. There are 720 jobs dependant on the fishery at the Port of Digby.

Support from the government of Canda is essential to keep this critical infrastructure operating to benefit the regional economy of Southwest Nova Scotia.
